well, i'm going to a polytechnic school next year, it's kinda like a college here in Singapore... My mom wants me to take up physiotherapy and i have no objections....
But, only one school has that course( i think) and i don't like that school because there's no choir in that school!!!! well, i love choir... my passion...
BUT again, my mom changed her plan and says she wants us to migrate to America.... but i don't want that too.... coz i'm afraid i won't be able to adapt.... and she seems extremely confirmed with her decision....
i have been praying about it, and i'm still waiting for answers from God....
Any advice????Any spiritual advice on decision making?
Be patient; your answer will come.
Ignore the fools here who believe that their disdain for, or disbelief in God proves their intellectual superiority. They'll eventually see the irony; hopefully within this life.
.Any spiritual advice on decision making?
I can't tell you to stay in Singapore or go to America because I don't know God's decision. But if you hear nothing from God before you leave for America, probably God's telling you to follow your mom. But then if something happens before you leave that doesn't allow you to leave then probably God's telling you to go to that school with no choir.
You always have a choice in life. It's always your choice to act, never God's. You could always choose to object with your mother BUT I'M NOT SAYING YOU SHOULD. Or you could just join the church choir so you could continue your passion. Either way it's YOUR choice...
Just advice from a friend...
praying is akin to talking to yourself.. if you can't stop it see a doctor, if you you can, then face the problem like an adult and communicate
Praying is delaying. Tell her, what YOU want.
I agree that if you are praying and seeking God's will, but He remains silent, the best bet is to go along with your mother. I'm sure she loves you and wants the best for you, and usually parents have insight and wisdom that children lack. This is partly why we are commanded to honor our parents as one of the 10 Commandments. You can pray and let God know this is what you intend to do, and if His will is different, that He may act to change your mother's mind. Bottom line is, you don't have to worry about it. If it is God's will for you to go to America then nothing will keep you out. Likewise, if it is God's will for you to stay where you are, you will find that you are immovable. You should not have any problem finding a good church choir in America, and most colleges have choir programs as well. It may be tough at times, but I'm sure that you can adapt. God will be with you. Find a good church family and they can provide much love and support. God Bless.
