I need spiritual advice?

My girlfriend is Southern Baptist and I am Church of God. She doesn't believe in speaking in tongues and she believes in eternal security while i don't. We just can't seem to compromise. I need any help that i can get please!I need spiritual advice?
Well all I can say is keep trying to work it out, if you really love each other and want to be together. It might be that these topics are just going to have to be off limits between you, period. You may just have to emphasize a lot more what you have in common, than what you don't.





I know of a Republican and a Democrat who are married, and they manage to stick together and get along great, because they leave politics completely alone in their personal life together. Sometimes it's the only way.





You must have a lot of things in common that you can talk about and things you can do together that you both enjoy, right? Concentrate on those instead of what you don't agree on, and things should get better.

Why don't you both compromise in choosing a different religion for the both of you. Catholicism is considered the only one in full possession of the Truth which can never change and as reflected in the infallible articles of faith. The most accurate information can be found in the Catholic Catechism which can be easily found herein on the Internet.
The Catholics are the first Christian church and they believe we need obedience to follow God. That's what the Bible basically says. If we didn't need obedience, we wouldn't need the Bible. Speaking in tongues is in the Bible in Acts 1 and 2 and can happen today if someone prays for you to have the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This baptism is still available today and can take your Christianity to the next level. I agree with you. I'm a Lutheran.
